The lineup consists of:
– Five time world champion and actual champion of the tournament, GM Viswanathan Anand from India (45 years old – 4th in the world).
– GM Anish Giri, Dutch from Russian origin (21 years old – 5th in the world)
– Chinese GM Liren Ding (21 years – 8th in the world)
– American of Filipino origin GM Wesley So (22 years old – 12th in the world)
