MADISON — Chess players of all abilities in grades two to six are welcome at chess clinics to be held at the Madison Community House from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturdays, Jan. 24 and 31.
The clinics will teach on topics like openings, end games and tactics. The clinics will be followed with a tournament on Sunday, Feb. 8. To register for clinics and the tournament, call 973-377-5877, or send an email to email@example.com.
The clinics and tournament are part of a Boy Scout Eagle project that includes putting picnic tables with chess boards on top of them into Livesey Park on Kings Road in Madison.
