A new social media record for Carlsen – Karjakin WC match
After 7 straight draws at the World Championship, game 8 started out slow. But then all of sudden, Carlsen over pushed and got in trouble! He was let off the hook the first time thanks to Karjakin’s blunder in time pressure. But no such luck after the 2nd blunder! Karjakin is now up by 1 with just 4 games left to play.
The interest for this match, especially on media, is phenomenal. I just looked at the stats and my www.twitter.com/SusanPolgar impressions crossed the 1 million (1,015,604) mark for game 8. When you add that to the posts reach on www.Facebook.com/SusanPolgarChess, as well as www.ChessDailyNews.com, that is now over 2 million for just game 8 alone!
