Luanda – The title holder of the Cuca Chess Cup international tournament, the Romanian great master Lámi Alina, hailled on Monday the dedication and efforts of the Angolan players Sónia Rosalino and Fátima Reis, at the 2012 competition, ANGOP has learnt.
She told ANGOP that both players improved a lot at technical level, mainly with regard to aggressiveness in attack, a factor that enabled a good score at the competition.
“I can not compare the Angolan chess with the European one, as in Europe there are many tournaments and in Angola few, reason why there are some difficulties in players’ progress”, she explained.
The Romanian leads the ladies competition with 5.2 points.
The 26-year old Romanian has been playing chess for 21 years.
