Cristina Adela Foișor (7 June 1967 – 22 January 2017) was a Romanian chess player, and an international master.
She won the Women’s Romanian Chess Championship five times.
She had competed for the world championship several times, most recently the Women’s World Chess Championship 2012. She was scheduled to represent Romania in the Women’s World Championship in Iran next month.
Her daughter Sabina-Francesca Foisor is also chess player and Woman Grandmaster. Also her daughter Mihaela-Veronica, is a chess Woman International Master.
