The 11th Gazi-Heraklion Open 2015 took place from July 25 to August 1, at the Apollonia Beach & SPA Hotel*****, at the Greek island of Crete.
The event was a 9-round Swiss tournament, open for players with Elo rating over 1500.
Grandmasters Andrey Rychagov (Russia), Alberto David (Italy), Aleksander Delchev (Bulgaria) and Alexander Kovchan (Ukraine) emerged joint winners at 7/9 points each. Rychagov clinched the title on a superior tie-break score, David came out second, while Delchev remained third.
WFM Hanne Goossens of Belgium was the best female player with 5,5 points, while IM Andreas Kelires of Cyprus took the first prize for Boys U20 with 6 points.
