The 10th American Continental Chess Championship is taking place from 15-24th May, 2015, in the Telecommunications Tower (ANTEL Tower), in Montevideo, the capital and largest city of Uruguay.
The event is organized by the Uruguay Chess Federation (FUA), under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Montevideo Municipality and ANTEL Telecommunications company.
The tournament format is an 11-round Swiss FIDE with tempo of play is 90′/ 40 + 30′ + 30″.
Top seed is Peruvian GM Julio Granda Zuniga (2650).
