Cross-Generation Chess Tournament in Central Park
With Special Musical Guest Solo Cellist Teresa Kubiak
New York, NY – July 12, 2006 — The Central Park Conservancy and Pegasus Media Productions announce the next Cross-Generation Chess Program will be held on Sunday, July 23rd, 2:00pm-5:00pm, at the Chess and Checkers House in Central Park. Senior Citizens will challenge and be challenged by children, K-12, playing numerous chess games. This is not a rated tournament but an opportunity to exchange chess plays, and communicate between the two generations while listening to classical music.
Two senior Chess Masters will partake in this month’s event of Chess, Chatter and Classical Music. A complimentary lunch will be served. The Cross-Generation Chess Program is open to the public and FREE to all participants and attendees. To register for the Cross-Generation Program, contact Renee M.
