Dear Ignatius,

It is my great pleasure and honor to work with everyone on this committee. Thank you for your support of Women’s Chess over the years. It is wonderful to see Women’s Chess grow by leaps and bounds in recent years.

I am currently following with great interest the 10th European Individual Women’s Chess Championship and the Women’s Grand Prix. Once again, I would like to congratulate Alexandra Kosteniuk for winning the Women’s World Championship.

You have my full commitment to advance Women’s Chess through this committee any way I can. I strongly believe that the future of Women’s Chess is bright.

Best wishes,
Susan Polgar

Dear Ignatius,

Thank you for forwarding FIDE’s appointment letter for me to Co-Chair the Commission for Women’s Chess.

It is impressive that we have managed to join the forces of all 8 Women’s World Champions since 1962 to today. With this message, I ask all members of this Commission not to hesitate to contribute ideas and help to continue on the great improvement of Women’s Chess over the last few years. There is lots of work to be done, and we can start now.

I appreciate the foresight of FIDE in creating such a high-profile commission. You can count on me to continue to promote chess in the world, in particular Women’s Chess.

Best wishes,
Alexandra Kosteniuk
World Chess Champion
