The event will be held at Hillcrest Academy. (www.hillcrestacademy.org)
Akobian will hold a lecture on his recent gold medal in the 2013 Chess Olympiad and perform an exhibition in which he will play a group of local chess players simultaneously.
Akobian has been very active in helping promote chess events in Temecula and will meet privately at 5 p.m. with the Hillcrest Academy K-8 Scholastic Chess Team to give encouragement and inspiration.
This event is sponsored by the nonprofit Temecula Chess Club, which is a recognized affiliate of the United States Chess Federation.
